Bristol Stag Activities

Why have a stag weekend in Bristol?

Bristol has been a hub for stag weekends for decades, offering a grand selection of adrenaline-fuelled activities, traditional boozers and stunning architecture. Your only issue will be deciding what to miss out on whilst you're in the West Country.

Explore traditional smugglers pubs in the Old Quarter on your Bristol stag weekend or indulge in the cafes and restaurants that make Bristol a foodie haven for the South West. As a popular university town, there are plenty of choices when it comes to nightlife; Walkabout, PRYZM and Revolution, to traditional English pubs. If you are lucky enough to visit in the summer you could even soak up the sun in a beer/cider garden.

When looking for Bristol stag do accommodation there really are only two options. The first is a central hotel or apartment that will mean that you and the stag group can get out and back home with ease, but it does mean that larger groups are split into multiple rooms. The second option that's becoming an increasingly popular Bristol stag do idea is renting a self catering house on the outskirts. This will mean all the lads are under one roof and gives you a nice space to relax, eat and drink together before heading out.

What's the best way to travel around Bristol?

Travelling around a city you're unfamiliar with can be tough work, and if you add the challenge of being a stag group with lots members, and perhaps a little tipsy, your job of getting from A to B becomes a whole lot harder. As with most major cities, one of the best ways to travel around Bristol is to buy a travel pass that will give you access to the majority of bus and rail services. One method of transport that is a little more fun and great as a mini-activity is to jump on one of the e-scooters available across the city. You'll need to download an app, pop in your card details, and you're away. It's worth noting that you can't use these intoxicated though, so bear this in mind.

If you're staying at one of the Bristol stag do accommodation options outside of the city located on the outskirts, your best bet for travelling in, out and around the city with a large group of ten plus people is to pre-arrange mini-buses or coaches. This will save you a lot hassle in advance and save you stressing on the stag night.
