Why Bath is a top UK destination for groups
“I could talk about Bath all day long if I could. It is just such a lovely place with so many things to see and do, I spent two gorgeous autumn days in Bath and can’t wait to go again. As you’re driving towards Bath the buildings suddenly change, the rich Georgian architecture is jaw-dropping and it feels like you’ve just transported into a Jane Austen novel. It was so easy to walk everywhere and I think it’s because it’s so visually beautiful, it didn’t feel like we had been walking for 20 minutes. Even my young children didn’t complain (win!)
If you haven’t been to the Roman Baths, I really recommend it! Book online in advance as the lines can be long. Luckily they had QR codes outside where you could book tickets there and then, but I wouldn’t risk it next time. There were so many interactive things to do in there. At the time they had a Medusa workshop for kids, so my children made Medusa hats which they walked around in all day. You get a chance to taste the natural springs… I did try it but probably wouldn’t try it again! The nightlife was vibrant and there’s lots of restaurants and pubs to visit, it wasn’t hard to find a nice place to sit down for a meal and drink.
The moment you start walking through Bath, it’s like you’re on a proper relaxation weekend. Everything is so chill and it’s no surprise why it was one of our top destinations for groups. I’d go back in a heartbeat!”
