Set across a main house, self-contained lodge and annexe, it’s a relaxed, character-filled retreat with easy access to beautiful Bath on its doorstep.
With six bedrooms, five bathrooms, three hot tubs, outdoor table tennis, and a spacious sun-trap garden, this property is made big social gatherings and celebratory stays.

The Shockerwick Grange is a spacious and inviting stay that feels instantly like home. Each of the six bedrooms are generously sized and thoughtfully furnished, offering comfort without fuss. Whether you’re planning a short break or something longer, it’s a place you can truly unwind.
Outside, the garden is where everything comes together. It’s a sunny, open space with plenty of seating, two large hot tubs, picnic tables and a BBQ setup. Whether it’s coffee in the morning, lunch in the sun, or bubbles in the afternoon, the garden gives you a reason to slow down and savour the moment.
Inside, the kitchen is modern and fully equipped with everything you need for group cooking, plus a counter bar for casual meals or chats over drinks. The dining room sits in a bright conservatory that opens onto the garden, making it feel like part of the outdoors and comfortably sits between 22-24 people. If you want to make things extra special, we can help arrange a private chef to cook for you.
Sleeping arrangements are flexible and ideal for groups. The main house has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, while the detached lodge includes its own bedroom and bathroom. The annexe offers even more space with a bedroom, bathroom, and a small kitchen and lounge, perfect for those who like a bit more privacy. Both the lodge and annexe also have a separate hot tub.
This is a place made for gathering, whether it’s a hen do, an anniversary with friends, or a big family get-together. You’ve got the best of both worlds – peace, space and privacy at the house, with Bath just 10 minutes away when you’re ready to explore.

Booking Information
To secure your booking at The Shockerwick Grange, you will need to pay a small deposit. The remaining final balance will be due 8 weeks before your booking date.

Security Deposit
Please note there is a mandatory security deposit due 1 week prior to your check-in.
What is a security deposit and how does it work?
A security deposit is a good behaviour bond that is ring-fenced in your account on the week that you check-in. The security deposit is to encourage guests to keep the property clean and tidy and leave it as it is found. It’s also to deter any damages or noise complaints.
Providing there are no damages or complaints, the funds ring-fenced in your account will be automatically released back to you 7-10 days after check-out. You will be sent further information regarding the security deposit post-booking.
