The Oxford Old Coach House is a lovely self catering property situated in Witney, just a short 35 minute drive from Oxford city centre. This traditional house is hidden at the bottom of a quiet lane and has tons of character and charm, retaining many of its original features such as walls and beams. It’s a cosy and comfy stay, perfect for smaller get togethers with friends, families, or well behaved stag and hen groups.
A total of 10 people can be accommodated across four bedrooms. There are three bathrooms, a kitchen / dining area, and a spacious living room with wood burning stove.
On the ground floor you enter a lovely country kitchen via a stable door. The fully fitted kitchen has a beautiful vaulted ceiling and is open plan to the spacious dining area. From the dining area there is a small set of steps up to a huge lounge with patio doors and double windows onto the sunny patio and enclosed private garden.
Take in the fresh Cotswolds air on the patio garden where you can sip some fizz or sit for a spot of alfresco dining. Alternatively, you can use the space to play some garden games like badminton, football and swing ball. You’ll also find garden furniture and a BBQ for you to cook up a smokey feast.
The Master suite has a superking bed that can also be made as a twin room upon request, sitting area and a Juliette balcony with a lovely garden view, plus a large walk-in wardrobe/dressing room and en-suite.
Along the hall is the large family bathroom, with exposed Cotswold stone brick work, and two more bright and sunny bedrooms (one double and one twin). At the end of the hallway you will find a second staircase leading down to the fourth bedroom; another bright and spacious double with its own en-suite and access to the driveway.
Within walking distance is the local town centre where you can get your shopping fix, or visit some of the local eateries, pubs and night spots. A short car ride or bus journey away will take you to the bustling Oxford city centre.
This diamond of a property offers a getaway quiet retreat, whilst also being deceptively close to the town and city – it really gives you the best of both worlds!
To secure your booking at the Old Coach Cottage in Oxford, you will need to pay a small deposit. The remaining final balance will be due 8 weeks before your booking date.
Please note there is a mandatory security deposit due 1 week prior to your check-in.
What is a security deposit and how does it work?
A security deposit is a good behaviour bond that is ring-fenced in your account on the week that you check-in. The security deposit is to encourage guests to keep the property clean and tidy and leave it as it is found. It’s also to deter any damages or noise complaints.
Providing there are no damages or complaints, the funds ring-fenced in your account will be automatically released back to you 7-10 days after check-out. You will be sent further information regarding the security deposit post-booking.

If shopping is your thing, you are just 25 minutes from the designer outlets of Bicester Village. Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill is a stone’s throw away and there is the picturesque Cotswolds nearby too.
