This converted barn is now a phenomenal holiday cottage, providing luxury self catering accommodation in one of the prettiest Cotswolds’ locations. Ideal for country retreats you can walk through the hills to the local pubs or watch famous racehorses train on the hills!
The Oxford Holiday Cottage is situated on a farm which trains top class racehorses on the surrounding land, we’re simply amazed at the location and accommodation on show.

About Oxford Burrow
Inside the open plan living space downstairs and bedrooms upstairs, they have been designed to an exceptional standard with a real attention to detail. Fine oak flooring, huge oak trusses, a handmade kitchen and luxury bathrooms together ooze charm and appeal, while large, deep mattresses in inviting bedrooms ensure a good night’s sleep.
Two of the six bedrooms are located in a separate, private barn approximately 12 paces from your front door. Together this is a perfect choice for a large group or family who looking to enjoy a quality holiday home in one of the finest Cotswolds areas.
This really is a truly stunning barn conversion situated on an old farm. It has been refurbished to a very high and exacting standard. The barn is set in a Nature Reserve and there is a garden and small paddock that surround the house. It has ample private space outside as well oodles of entertaining space inside.
The entrance to the property leads through to large boot room with ample space for coats and shoes/boots which will lead through to large open plan living space. Within the living Area boasts very large sofas, plus additional armchairs, inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove with ample logs for your stay plus a large TV with Freeview.
The kitchen within the accommodation is very smart handmade wooden kitchen with granite work surface; large 5 ring gas range with triple oven / grill, dishwasher, large fridge and freezer. Once you have finished cooking up your delicious meal feel free to head to the Dining Area, there is a very large dining table (extendable) which can seat 12 people.
The barn (which is approximately 12 paces from the front door) is a separate building, attached at the side to Thorndale. It too has undergone extensive renovation. It is ideal additional accommodation to allow a maximum of 12 people staying. Similarly stylish and very much in a classic country style, it’s great extra accommodation. There is garden to the front of the property(s) which has a table and chairs and bench – all south facing and enjoying the amazing views across the hills. The owners live in the main farmhouse to the side yet neither overlook each other giving each a fair degree of privacy and peace. There is ample parking for multiple cars. Beyond your garden is the farm, which is predominantly used for the training of racehorses, which you will see across the fields. We do remind all guests to be considerate of this and to respect the horses, jockies and trainers during your stay.

Booking Information
To secure your booking at The Burrow near Oxford, you will need to pay a small deposit. The remaining final balance will be due 8 weeks before your booking date.

What is a security deposit and how does it work?
A security deposit is a good behaviour bond that is ring-fenced in your account on the week that you check-in. The security deposit is to encourage guests to keep the property clean and tidy and leave it as it is found. It’s also to deter any damages or noise complaints.
Providing there are no damages or complaints, the funds ring-fenced in your account will be automatically released back to you 7-10 days after check-out. You will be sent further information regarding the security deposit post-booking.
