Nestled amidst the rolling hills of Derbyshire, Nightingale Manor House beckons you with a captivating blend of history, grandeur, and modern comfort.
This Grade II listed 17th and 18th-century manor, once the cherished childhood home to the household name Florence Nightingale, has been meticulously restored to its former glory, offering an unforgettable setting for family celebrations, holidays, or well-behaved stag and hen parties.
Intrigue awaits the moment you step inside. A grand entrance adorned with an impressive chandelier sets the stage, leading you up a portrait-clad staircase to 10 spacious en-suite bedrooms, each promising a restful retreat. Gather in the drawing room, where a crackling fire warms the air as you unwind under the soft glow of another crystal chandelier. Share laughter and stories around the dining table in the historic wing, dating back to the 1600s, its warmth emanating from a rustic wood-burning stove.
Step outside and embrace the Derbyshire air. A landscaped garden unfolds behind the manor, perfect for al fresco gatherings on the terrace. Challenge your loved ones to a game of table tennis, or huddle around the crackling fire pit as the stars emerge. For an indulgent dip under the open sky, treat yourselves to the optional hot tub (additional charge), letting the worries melt away as you gaze at the night sky.
Beyond the manor walls, discover the charm of Derbyshire. A cozy pub, delightful tea rooms, and a renowned restaurant are all within walking distance. The iconic Peak District National Park, with its awe-inspiring landscapes and outdoor adventures, awaits exploration just a short drive away.
Nightingale Manor House is more than just accommodation; it’s an experience. It’s where history whispers in the walls, laughter echoes through the grand rooms, and memories are made to last a lifetime.
