Edinburgh Clay Shooting

If you’re looking for a sporting activity that’s a little different, doesn’t involve lots of running around, fun and sociable, clay pigeon shooting is exactly what you’re after. It’s an activity that suits corporate days out, or a group just wanting to experience shooting for the first time.

The Edinburgh clay pigeon shooting range offers shooters of all levels a facility to practise and learn. The range is of competition standard and the largest in Scotland. On arrival at the range, all the shooters will receive hearing protection and a full and thorough safety briefing. Extensive one-to-one instruction is received whilst each clay pigeon shooter is at the traps, ensuring that all participants reap the thrill of hitting the clay.

You’ll participate in DTL (Down The Line) clay shootings which is the most popular discipline. Take turns in your group to shoot at 5 targets, whilst your peers take a seat in the stands to assess your shooting skills. The group will move to the right until 25 targets have been pulled. The competitive people will be aiming for the top score of 75! Each target is worth 3 points for a first barrel kill, 2 points for a second barrel kill and 0 for a miss.

Alternatively you can take part in ABT (Automatic Ball Trap) which offers the same experience with a spread of targets that move horizontally and vertically.

The shooting range provids plenty of parking for larger groups and individuals alike.
