Experience the thrill of quarry karts where gravity fuels your mountain cart adventure! Nestled in the stunning Zip World Penrhyn Quarry, this one-of-a-kind experience lets you take on a 3-kilometre descent filled with exciting obstacles and breathtaking views.
Your quarry karting experience begins with a rugged ride to the summit in our signature red military trucks. Starting 1,500 feet above sea level, you’ll be greeted by panoramic views of the Snowdonia National Park, including the Ogwen Valley and the Menai Strait. From here, it’s all downhill as you embark on a heart-pounding ride that lasts around 3-5 minutes per run.

Our specially designed three-wheel mountain carts are built for stability and excitement. With a low centre of gravity, wide wheelbase, and hydraulic disc brakes, these karts are perfect for sliding, drifting, and conquering the track’s many challenges. Tackle tight chicanes, navigate banked corners, and speed through tunnels as you push your driving skills to the limit. And with two runs included in your booking, you’ll have the chance to perfect your technique on your second descent.
Quarry karts is perfect for groups of thrill seekers that like to get behind the wheel. With multiple karts on the track at once, you can share the thrill with your friends and colleagues. Due to the challenging nature of the course, this adventure is suitable for those aged 15 and up, ensuring a high-octane experience for all participants.

Who is Quarry Karts suitable for?
Given the challenging nature of this adventure, it’s only suitable for ages 15+. Someone over the age of 18 is also required to take part in the experience for every four people under 18.

Do I need to wear anything for the activity?
Please wear long sleeves, trousers, glovers and trainers or boots for your Quarry Karts experience. This is compulsory clothing and without this, you may be refused on arrival.
