The Return of ‘Dallas’

The classic American soap ‘Dallas’ is returning to our TV screens tonight so what better way to celebrate than with a ‘Dallas’ themed hen party!

Were you gripped by the “who shot JR” storyline? Are you looking forward to the premiere of the new series?

The return of Dallas offers lots of opportunities for fancy dress – perfect for your hen weekend.

If you think back to the fashion of the original Dallas, then everything was big – big collars, big shoulder pads, big hair!

So it’s time to hunt out a blouse or jacket with big shoulder pads, or if you’re nifty with a needle and thread then sew some pads into a top. Accessorise with big hair and bold clip-on earrings. Make-up should include lip gloss and your eyeshadow should be thick – 2 or 3 layers of green or blue would work well!

There are also a couple of other options for the Dallas theme. Either as a cowgirl  – jeans, shirt, scarf tied around the neck, cowboy hat and boots. Alternatively, Dallas was all about wealth and money so you might opt for a rich girl look – slinky dress, high heels, diamonds (fake will do, no-one will know!).
