Give your weekend a Royal theme

The date of the Royal Wedding is fast approaching and it seems to be a really popular weekend for hen and stag dos. Everyone is taking advantage of the extra bank holiday!

Does this mean we’re going to be seeing a lot of ‘Kings and Queens’ around the city centres as hens and stags dress up for the occasion!?

Here’s a few ideas for a ‘Royal’ themed stag or hen party, but let us know what you have planned.

          Dress up for the occasion

          • Wear costumes of kings and queens of the past such as King Henry VIII or Queen Elizabeth I
          • Don masks of today’s Royal Family including the happy couple themselves
          • Go patriotic with a red, white and blue theme
          • Or just keep it really simple by making everyone wear a crown or tiara

          Feel like royalty

To really feel like royalty you’ll want to travel about in a chauffeur driven car, so ensure you book a minibus to get you about!

How much do you know about the Royal Family?

Create a Royal trivia quiz to do during the day. Here’s a couple of questions to get you started!

Q: In what country did Prince William propose to Kate Middleton?

A: Prince William proposed whilst they were visiting Kenya in October.

Q: How many other Queen Katherine’s have there been?

A: 5. Kate will be the 6th Queen Katherine in history.

          Stay in a mansion

You can also experience the lifestyle of royalty by staying in a luxury hotel or a stately manor or mansion for the weekend. There’s a range of luxurious self catering accommodation on offer but don’t worry, we know that royalty don’t do their own cooking – so catering can be provided!

So if you’re organising a stag or hen do for the ‘Royal Wedding’ weekend, then tell us your ideas for giving your party a Royal twist.
