Sten Weekends – anyone for a joint experience?

The traditional stag or hen weekend?

Nowadays anything goes! You might be of the disposition that having your intended close by you on the last night of freedom would be unthinkable – unimaginable – inconceivable and against every unwritten moral code! It’s just not cricket – netball!

However you might find this hard to believe but the rise of the stag and hen joint weekend has been an ever popular request – NOOOOOOOOOOOO! I hear all you die hards scream, but yes in our liberal society today more and more prospective stag and hens wish to pre-christen the marriage with the first night of freedom!

To initiate their life together with a weekend of collective fun.

And why not, having all your closest friends participating in one of the best nights of your life sounds like a great idea! You will party hard knowing there’s no secrets, no teasing about who did what, no unnecessary stress as you’re both there!

The only problem is what do you call it?
Would it be, please come to our ‘stahen weekend?’ Or how about you are invited to our ‘sten weekend?’ Nope – how about ‘hag weekend?’ No – then you could just opt for original ‘John and Marys’ joint stag and hen weekend?

So our rhetoric question would be: have you been on a joint weekend? What did you call it? Was it good fun? Any comments or suggestions for any perspective stagheners? Any pitfalls?
