After your guests have taken their seats, suddenly they hear the roar of ‘the call’ - the tribal call of the lead tribesman, giving the hidden Haka tribal warriors their cue to storm the room!
Performing the ‘Haka’ to the delight (and surprise) of your guests introduces the event with an exhilarating energy that knows no equal!
After the demonstration from our Maori experts it becomes the audience’s turn! Guests will then learn the historical background and significance of the Haka whilst experiencing the tribal chanting and rhythmic movement patterns as they learn to perform the Haka as one unified group.
Requirements
Please note that with this event we try to get the group in teams so that they can come up with their own Haka. For this we may require 3 rooms which can hold up to 30 people in comfortably where they can practice. The main room will be used for the groups to get an overall briefing and tuition on the original Haka and then do the performances of their version back.
