Built in c.1744 our beautiful Georgian Town House features lovely period features with all the modern comforts you need across all 5 floors.
Located in the old orchards of Bath Abbey the townhouse is in the heart of town but enjoys a bit of peace and quiet being tucked away on a central cul-de-sac. The house can comfortably cater for 10 guests in 8 bedrooms - ideal for families or groups looking to explore Bath's charm.
We have restored many of the original period features and furnishings whilst blending modern touches. The double-fronted house retains original panelled walls, high ceilings, walnut winding staircase, exposed brick chimney hearth, beams and fireplaces. Founders House gives you a sense of the splendour enjoyed in the Jane Austen era, without sacrificing modern luxuries.
There are 2 main bathrooms with baths and showers in, one en-suite on the 1st floor bedroom and also a small toilet on the lower ground floor.
The living area is ideal for hosting groups with plenty of seating and a lovely gas fire. Downstairs is a large oak kitchen / dining area where guests tend to spend most of their time. There is a 4 ring ceramic hob & oven, fridge, microwave, etc. There is also a full range of cooking equipment to make dinners for the whole group if you are not dining out nearby. We also have a fully working large AGA, which is great for warming up food or simply enjoying the warmth all day. The Kitchen also has the added benefit of a breakfast bar and large oak dining table.
