Eden - Building A Sustainable Community

This CSR team building game challenges your teams to be competitive, successful and environmentally aware all at the same time.

Eden is a unique game because it revolves around striking the balance between competitive success and respect for the environment.

Teams share a common goal: to build a sustainable community. Teams realise that to be successful they need to modify their behaviour, adapt their attitude and co-ordinate their actions.

All of the tasks, challenges and decisions that teams face involve simulations of real-life environmental considerations.

Taking part in Eden provokes genuine discussion and interest in CSR and what it means to you as an individual, to you as a team and to you as a company.

Teams build a sustainable community by completing tasks set around the world

A professional presenter introduces the objective of the game, the Emissions Gauge and the Master Route Planner.

The Emissions Gauge is a huge, visual and modern balancing scale. It depicts the ever-changing balance between the positive and negative influences generated by teams through the actions that they are taking during the game.

It's important for teams to keep their eye on the Emissions Gauge throughout the game because their actions (and the actions of the teams around them) will ultimately have an impact on the options available to them and their success.

Teams must work in unison to keep emissions in a healthy balance otherwise the consequences of their actions will be immediate and severe.

The Master Route Planner is a large, graphic representation of the route teams can take around the world to complete the tasks. Each team also has their own hand held copy. (This part of the game looks similar to the London Underground type route maps.)

Teams begin to plan their route and then travel around the world completing environmentally challenging tasks to earn credits that will enable them to build a sustainable community.

The team with the largest sustainable community that they've built within the rules and ethics of the game is the winner.
