Corporate Events and Business Development Executive
Sales Executive
The Job
This role involves organising and delivering first class experiences and events to customers. You will need to be customer focused and respond to all enquiries in a timely, confident and professional manner in order to maximise conversion. You will need to sell events over the telephone directly to customers and make outgoing calls to progress existing event proposals.
Main Duties
- See events through from initial enquiry, to booking and completion with the relevant supplier
- To answer calls and make outgoing calls to progress existing event proposals
- To sell the right product to the right customer and create inspiring itineraries for clients to fulfil their needs, whether it be a single activity or a whole weekend of activities
- To communicate a high quality service to prospective clients
The Person
- You will have excellent administration skills, be well organised and efficient with excellent time management skills
- A confident communicator, you will be happy to liaise with clients, colleagues and suppliers
- Ability to work on your own initiative as well as being a good team player
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Work and Excel. Experience of Photoshop would be an advantage
- Good research and internet skills
- Attention to detail
- You will actively seek referrals, recommendations and extra sales & business opportunities
Experience
- Experience essential, you will have events sales experience
- You will be target and goal driven
- Overseas travel experience, as an independent traveller (a bonus but not essential)
- Tour operator (a bonus but not essential)
Salary: £8.00ph - plus commission
Corporate Events and Business Development Executive
The Job
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to lead, sell and develop our Corporate Events portfolio to an ever expanding market.
As the Corporate Events Executive you will be required to provide sales support as well as full corporate account handling, and be an integral part of an efficient, effective and professional team, maximising the conversion from enquiry to booking.
In this challenging and varied role, you will need to have the ability to work on your own initiative as well as being a good team player, building strong relationships with suppliers, colleagues and clients. You will need to be customer focused and respond to enquiries in a timely, confident and professional manner.
The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate flexibility, integrity and reliability and be a dynamic individual who wants to achieve a high level of job satisfaction and is driven to exceed expectations.
Main Duties

- To sell events over the telephone directly and/or where appropriate, travel directly to target client premises to demonstrate our full value services on offer
- To ensure that all customer enquiries are answered effectively to conversion
- To accurately plan and execute itineraries

- You will have experience with handling important client accounts
- You will actively seek referrals, recommendations and extra sales and business opportunities
Experience
- Experience essential, you will have extensive events sales experience

- Experience in the London events market is advantageous
- Overseas travel experience, as an independent traveller (a bonus but not essential)
- Tour operator (a bonus but not essential)
Salary: Basic salary is negotiable with uncapped commission
