For large groups on a budget, this remote hostel is a great choice for those looking to enjoy a quite, uninterrupted weekend away. Enjoy long walks in the surrounding countryside, then come back and hang out together in the large communal areas or outside in the garden. If the weather is nice then make the most of the BBQ in the courtyard but there is a kitchen if needed!
The hostel sleeps up to 14 in bunk beds. Bedding is provided but you'll need to bring your own towels.
The hostel was originally three adjoining 'broom squires' cottages, once homes of the traditional craftsmen who inhabited the area and made brooms from the surrounding birch trees.
This hostel enjoys a fantastic remote location within the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It sits within the Devil's Punch Bowl, a large natural amphitheatre covered with woodland, heath and streams. Footpaths and by-ways criss-cross the area and long distance trails pass nearby. It also makes a great base for exploring the villages, towns and attractions of Surrey.
