          Stag party on a budget

          Published on Apr 11, 2014

Less money doesn’t mean less fun!

Times are hard and when it comes down to a stag party, people don’t want to be digging into their savings on a weekend away, the new car fund, the holiday fund, the wife’s new earring fund, all down the drain… However you can’t afford to look at it that way, you need a weekend away, a weekend to celebrate and not just any weekend, the biggest, maddest weekend of your lives!

Although you must have some leeway if you want the best you have to have some flexibility and work out a budget that everyone can afford. Now you may think that a hotel would be the way forward, and sometimes that is the case, but with a big group a self-catering property works out the cheapest at around £36 per person per night (depending on the season) against your hotel rate of roughly £50, that’s an extra £14 worth of beers!

The next subject is the night out, if you are looking for a night on the town then it’s easy to rock up to a club, queue and then pay the entrance fee but what’s easier and, more importantly, cheaper is booking in advance! Instead of paying £10 entrance fee for each and every club and bar, pre-book your tickets for roughly £15 and gain VIP access to a range of top venues saving yourself time and money!!

However you can’t have a stag party without an activity to do in the day! Now everyone thinks of doing clay pigeon shooting and quad biking but these activities are going up and up in price! If you are on a budget, travel the extra 10 minutes to a cheaper venue to save the extra £20! Or scrap the whole quad and clays idea and do something different! For example “It’s a knockout” is becoming the latest craze, taking up a whole afternoon at an affordable rate and an experience that will test your stags to the limit! Another great activity is watersports, summer is the time and Brighton is the place to be! Surf the waves on a wakeboard or glide along lagoon on a stratos dinghy all at an affordable rate and with just as much fun!
