The Serial Hen Part II
So then it was onto The Cotswolds. However this time the onus of organising this Hen Weekend was down to me…Bridesmaid Duties…
So what do we do that hasn’t already been done before? This Hen had ‘a luxurious weekend in the country’ in mind so the long search began. We decided we would try and hire a house rather than stay in a hotel. Have you ever tried looking for a house to accommodate 22 girls accustomsed to the height of absolulte luxury?
Criteria included - fluffy towels, an ice maker (for the Gordons of course) and did I mention a butler? We decided on a house set in the beautiful Cotswold countryside about ten miles from Moreton-in Marsh and it matched all the criteria on our tick list and had every conceivable luxury to offer. This was going to be a weekend of relaxtion, pampering and plenty of good gossip in the marble hot tub!
Even though it was a weekend of relaxtion , we still wanted to keep 22 girls occupied. So with the beautiful Cotswold countryside on our doorstep it meant only one thing to work off those calories - a bike ride! We hired the bikes through the comapny we had hired the house from. So off we went…Babes on Bikes on Tour! We managed to fall upon suitable hostelries to quench our thirst along the way…
It was then back to the house for afternoon tea, sumptuous cakes and chocolate brownies to satisfy our appetitie and then into the hot tub to soothe those aching muscles. In the evening we arranged for outside caterers to come to the house, so off we went to put on our LBD’s and killer heels for an evening of gourmet food and girly revelry!…
This was luxury personified! Lets dream for a minute Hens…if budget was of no concern…what would be your ideal luxury weekend??
