Introducing the hunt for -The Mole Teambuilding Event!

Your whole team will become completely absorbed in an intriguing spy game. Everyone will be set a 'top secret' mission to complete activities that have been designed specifically for you.

Your team will become united as they face the challenges together. Your enjoyment and laughter will last much longer than the day itself as memories are re-lived back in your place of work.

Individuals will listen, trust and learn to appreciate each other as they rely on everyone's skills to complete the tasks at hand.

Be sure that your team building event will achieve what you want it to achieve:

"The Mole was a great vehicle for achieving our goal of bringing people together and to have some fun. The team did an excellent job at organising and facilitating this event. The pace was fast, the tasks challenging and everyone was involved." Cisco Systems Ltd.

Imagine a team-building event where suspense and anticipation hold you rapt and absorbed from beginning to end. You will be part of a team of covert investigators, unravelling a case hampered by red herrings and dead ends. Riddles and puzzles, questions and realisations weave through the event.

As things slowly start to make sense, pieces of the case fall into place, and excitement builds as teams gain ground against each other to solve the riddle. A frantic 'head to head' race between the teams to unravel the mystery and submit their deduction as to who is The Mole will then ensue. The deductions are then read out to an enraptured audience.

Having fun and sharing resources releases the powerful potential of your team.

Teams must work together on the event to maximise their chance of success. Because the event is fun participants will be relaxed and will naturally think more creatively. This will help them to find solutions to challenging tasks such as cracking an electronic safe and infiltrating a booby-trapped room using hi-tech CCTV equipment.

Without thinking about it your team will experiment with new methods of working because the environment is safe and non-threatening. Your focus will be on the themed tasks and challenges instead of individual performance. The result is that your team becomes more motivated and more united.

Seeking alternative solutions will require team members to communicate better.

Talking together and listening to each other will increase as your team must work together and share ideas to be successful. With facilitation these increased levels of communication can be translated back into practical improvements in the work place.

Your teams will be required to meet tight dead lines and work to many time limits during the activity. This will make teams more aware of their time management skills and with facilitation they can practise and improve the way they manage their time and prioritise their activities.

Stretch is crucial for personal and team development.

In your hunt for The Mole you will sometimes be moved into your 'stretch' zone. This encourages the development of new skills and gives you the chance to discover some that you never knew you had!

This element of stretch introduced to your team will give individuals the opportunity of trying something they would not have done before.

Explore leadership and decision-making in your team because everyone will want to have a go

Each person in your team will have an opportunity to shine and take the lead through a variety of tasks that offer 'something for everyone'. Participants will soon discover that an understanding of colleagues' skill sets and preferences is vital if they are to be a successful team.

During the day leaders have the opportunity to follow, whilst natural followers have the opportunity to lead. This diversity helps to develop a new awareness of colleagues and with facilitation can give you a great opportunity to explore team performance.

Strengthen your existing relationships by discovering more about your colleagues

Your team will have many different opinions on how to solve the various problems encountered in the hunt for The Mole. This will test your skills of negotiation, compromise and decision making to reach a solution that satisfies everyone and gets the required result.

By discovering new skills and interests about your work colleagues through unique activities, existing social relationships will be strengthened. This will be evident back at the work place by a more motivated workforce operating in an environment with a more proactive and positive atmosphere.

Here is an example of how a leading insurance company used The Mole to achieve their objectives:

They wanted:

  • To unite as a whole team and have fun.
  • To reward and motivate their team.
  • To learn more about individuals within the team, and what makes them tick.
  • To gain a greater understanding of the different roles within the H.R department.
  • explore new ideas that would improve the way the whole department works.

Specific tasks were chosen to achieve their specific objectives and to appeal to their team

The Mole created the perfect scenario for the above objectives to be met. We suggested a range of tasks which would explore different skill sets within the team.

Maximum interaction between the teams was achieved by the encouragement of information sharing. High levels of energy were maintained, as the pace was fast.

The tasks chosen required individuals to pool their team resources in order to successfully complete the tasks. This reinforced the power of effective team working.

The Mole scenario kept interest levels high and the suspect list was personalised to include characters who looked similar to colleagues from work. This always adds to the sense of fun.

What was the result?

"I would like to place on record my sincere appreciation for a very well run team building event. You prepared and ran a day which was both interesting and great fun. From the event we were able to derive a number of ways in which we can work together for the greater good of the H.R function."

How can you too achieve brilliant results?

The best way for you to have an outstanding result for your team building event is to be clear and realistic about what you want to achieve.

Then together with you we will look at your objectives and your team, what sort of people they are and what roles they have. Then with your guidance we will design an event around your needs. Because the ideas are geared around you and your team the event is likely to be an outstanding success.
