Sigma 38 Sailing
The Sigma 38 was designed as a fast cruiser - racer and has established as a successful one-design class.
The imaginative design provides ample accommodation with 2 double aft cabins, 1 double fore cabin and with room to sleep 4 in the main cabin.
These yachts have extensive sail wardrobes and have earned well-deserved reputations as offshore racing yachts.
They are ideally suited for both inshore regattas and offshore racing as well as for fast efficient cruising.
Every yacht comes with a skipper and with a little practice they are easy to master.
Sample itinerary:
- 0830hrs Arrive at Port Solent for coffee and biscuits in Portsmouth Harbour Yacht Club (PHYC) overlooking Port Solent marina.
- 0900hrs Guests will be greeted by a representative and introduced to your Skippers.
- 0930hrs Stow kit on board yachts. Safety brief and yacht familiarisation. Depart for morning sail in the Solent.
- 1230hrs Anchor off Isle of Wight shore for a champagne buffet lunch on board the yachts.
- 1400hrs Fun racing begins - Skippers will helm over the start line - then it can be over to you! Crews can put to the test their newly acquired skills.
- 1630hrs Moor up at Port Solent and hand over yachts.
- 1700hrs Afternoon tea and cakes in the Portsmouth Harbour Yacht Club (with prize-giving reception if required).
- 1730hrs Depart at leisure
