Brighton Half Day Sailing Experience
A Fully Skippered Sailing Adventure
On a yachting half day day we can charter six identical yachts for a challenging series of sailing races or if you prefer relax as you glide effortlessly along as an executive incentive or client bonding. After all it's a perfect setting for a captive audience.
Yacht racing has long been trusted as a superb team building developer, testing individuals and teams alike to perform under pressure of competition.
The boats are Sigmas 8s, picked for their race pedigree and nimble attributes and we have six of these at our disposal. With a crew of five and the skipper we can offer a Match Racing Experience for upto thirty sailors from the base in Brighton Marina!
A yachting or sailing day does not require any experience as full instruction will be available through out any day afloat.
A typical morning sail would consist of:
The morning starts with coffee at 9am where you will meet your skipper and the rest of the crew for a general briefing at 9.30am. You will then head down to the yachts where you will be kitted out with your wet weather gear and lifejacket and go through a safety brief aboard. On leaving the marina, the training begins, from hoisting the sails to helming swiftly around the race course, practising the quickest and most efficient methods of maneuvering the yacht as a team.
Towards the end of the sailing experience there will then be a 10 minute warning, this is when your skipper will cover a few vital race rules while you prepare for the start of the race. And with apossible six boats racing for the finish line it can be a very competitive event!
After the race, you will return to the mooring and then over to the Yacht Club for the race results.
These easy to handle yachts are designed for exhilarating close quarter racing. Again you will have full use of the qualified staff to ensure a fun packed time on the water.

The Brighton Sigma Sailing experience is based either in the morning or afternoon. Brighton Marina has plenty of facilities, including changing rooms, bars, hotels, night clubs, etc. Just ask if you would like us to organise the perfect watersports weekend for you!
