Hired or Hired

This event is based along similar lines as the well known BBC television program 'The Apprentice'.

The teams begin the event with a briefing by our own powerful business mogul, who is accompanied by his stern faced business advisors. After a humorous briefing, teams will leave the venue to begin their exciting challenge!

The objective is to make as much money as possible for a local charity and to score the highest number of points, through the completion of a series of tasks. Only the team, who returns having achieved the highest figures, will be hired! It's up to the teams to plan their time wisely, divide their team as necessary and using their strengths in the most effective way.

The winning team will receive two bottles of champagne and the Hired or Fired trophy.

This fun and highly competitive teambuilding game also builds on corporate responsibility as all the funds gained can be distributed to a favourite charity.

Once the immortal words 'one of you will be fired' the teams are off!

The team objectives for the event are:

  • To be a fun, enjoyable and memorable reward for staff
  • Enable team members to see the sights of a city
  • Allow participants to utilise and develop their skills in team work, negotiation and communication

Event Outline

The teams will begin at a designated meeting location where they will meet our very own 'Sir Allan Sucre' character, accompanied by his business advisors. After a rather blunt, but equally humorous brief, teams will leave to begin their exciting challenge.

The Tasks

The Price must be Right!

With petty cash, each team must attempt to buy a number of obscure items that have been listed for them. From Chinese Herbs to Brussels Sprouts, it'll be a challenge, but the harder they negotiate with local businesses, the more money they will have in the end!

Let me entertain you!

A chance for a well earned drink in a pub and the start of a new challenge, one with a Christmas theme! After meeting one of the Business Advisors, teams will be told that they are to become Carol singers, approaching the public and encouraging donations for their talent. A selection of props will be provided, including Santa Hats, Tinsel and collecting tins, which will bring the task to life and hopefully produce more cash for the charity!

Brighton Rocks!

This task really rocks! With a quantity of Sticky Rock (you know that sticky, sweet multi coloured confection that's been keeping people chewing for decades), teams must use whatever creative method comes to mind, asking for the most donations for their stock. Each team will receive the same amount of rock and the same amount of time!
